Offered through a partnership with the New Jersey Notary Association, this 6-hour New Jersey Notary Public education course is designed to comply with the mandatory education requirement for new Notary Public commissions in the State of New Jersey. It prepares applicants to perform their duties with confidence, accuracy, and full statutory compliance. This course is an excellent choice for those seeking a Notary Public commission, as well as experienced notaries who wish to expand their knowledge of regulation, compliance responsibilities, and civil liability exposure.

Instruction includes the following areas:

  • Commissioning requirements and renewal procedures
  • Proper identification and personal appearance standards
  • Notarial certificates, including acknowledgments and jurats
  • Journal requirements and best practices, including electronic journal options
  • Statutory fee compliance and advertising limitations
  • eNotarizations and Remote Online Notary (RON) services.
  • Avoiding Unauthorized Practice of Law
  • Civil liability exposure and professional risk mitigation
  • Ethical decision making in real-world scenarios
  • NJ Notary Public Examination Prep

Though not required, students in this course who become members of the New Jersey Notary Association ($35 per year fee) are eligible to participate in NJNA’s exclusive Notary Exam Pass Guarantee. Membership can be obtained by visiting newjerseynotaryassociation.org.
