What are the course requirements? All you need to get started is internet access, an email address, and a web browser. Each course runs for six weeks and consists of 12 lessons. Interactive quizzes, assignments, tutorials, and online discussion areas are available to supplement each lesson.

An online comprehensive final examination must be completed within 10 days from the end of the course to obtain a certificate of completion. Individual courses may have specific requirements and prerequisites. Be sure to review each course before registering.

ACCOUNTING FUNDAMENTALS

In this course, you will learn the basics of double-entry bookkeeping, as well as how to analyze and record financial transactions. You will get hands-on experience with handling accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll procedures, sales taxes, and various common banking activities.

We’ll cover all the bases, from writing checks to preparing an income statement and closing out accounts at the end of each fiscal period.

A to Z Grant Writing

A to Z Grant Writing will take you through the planning process for documenting the need for funding in a Theory of Change Grant Project Planning Worksheet. Beginning with writing about what will be implemented (your vision for change and impact) when the project is funded, the worksheet begins to come to life. Exploring why funding is needed is the beginning of articulating the statement of need. You will learn how to document your projection of how, when funded, your project will initiate change. Once you’ve created the project’s goals, the worksheet asks for inputs or resources (mirroring a logic model’s format). Your thought processes and imagination will be tested in the implementation activities & timeline section. You’ll also have a chance to develop outputs and outcomes for the planned project. Finally, you’ll learn how to develop a project budget. Where does all of this lead? Every lesson is one step closer to having 100% of the information you’ll need to write a highly competitive grant proposal. GRAMMAR REFRESHER

The key to effective writing and speaking is understanding English grammar. Whether you are just now learning the basics of grammar or if you need a refresher, this course will help you develop the foundational skills you need. This course will explore the eight parts of speech, punctuation and mechanics, and foundational sentence construction. We will even get into the details of phrases, clauses, problem words, common grammar mistakes, and much more! An instructor will guide you every step of how you learn grammar through hands-on, practical exercises. You will also learn through short videos, examples, and even fun games. SQL SERIES

The SQL Series will help you gain a full understanding of this universal programming language. You’ll start by learning key concepts and move on to more advanced topics as you progress through the lessons. By the end of the series, you’ll have a solid working knowledge of SQL. Start with the key concepts of SQL as you learn about the basic structure of relational databases and how to write simple and complex SQL statements. You’ll learn to write queries to create tables; retrieve data from single or multiple tables; delete, insert, and update data in a database; gather significant statistics from data stored in a database; and more. Your new skills with databases will enhance your competitiveness in the technical fields of software development and database administration.
