The Center for Transition Success

The Center for Transition Success at Atlantic Cape Community College serves as a resource to provide support for individuals as they transition from secondary school to postsecondary education, adult employment, workforce training and independent living.

This is an exciting opportunity for Atlantic and Cape May County residents, ages 18-24, with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Center for Transition Success at Atlantic Cape Community College is proud to present a 3-day no cost learning program for adults under 24 with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

These workshops will prepare students as they transition from high school to college, workforce training, or adult employment.

Workshop Topics:
• College Classroom Readiness
• Study Skills
• Time Management
• College and Community Resources
• Career Exploration
• Socialization
• Self-Advocacy

Join us for one of the following sessions:

  • Mays Landing campus: July 16-18, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. 
  • Cape May campus: July 23-25, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. 
  • Mays Landing campus: August 13-15, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

About the Center:

Atlantic Cape Community College's Center for Transition Success provides individualized services to assist high school graduates with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they transition into independent, productive and meaningful lives.

The center will provide:

  • Transition Services
  • Educational Opportunities
  • Career Exploration 
  • Connections to Community Resources

What to Expect:

Step 1:
Complete Referral or application

Step 2:
You will be contacted by Transition Center Staff to complete the intake process and determine eligibility for the program

Step 3:
An Individual Transition Plan will be created based on the student's identified goals for their future

Step 4:
Completion of College Readiness Workshops (if applicable)

Step 5:
Transition into college, workforce training, or employment
